Wedding Ceremony Sites
A place to gather and share. . .
A place to exchange vows to each other. . .
A beautiful, solemn place. . .
A place to be in the presence of your God.
Wedding ceremonies are frequently held on site at Springwood
in one of three outdoor ceremony sites (April 15 - November 15)
or, in cooler weather, in the warmth of Springwood's Glass Atrium (November 16 - April 14).
Additional wedding ceremony sites are available at The Villa @ Springwood as well.
Outdoor Ceremony Sites [April 15 - November 15]
Each ceremony site at Springwood can be used in its natural beauty; no additional decoration is required to have an awe-filled and an awe-inspired ceremony. However, flowers are an integral part of the experience at Springwood. Floral additions are available for ceremony sites by working with Springwood's onsite florist. If additional decoration is desired, remember that all decorations, both inside and outside, that are attached in any way to a structure, must be created, attached and removed by Springwood’s florist.
For detailed specifications on the use of flowers at Springwood, see the Springwood spiral book named le fleur.
Note: Click on Springwood le fleur. Then turn the pages by grabbing and dragging each page at the corner with your mouse; or click on the corner of the page to proceed forward or backward.
Because Springwood has speakers throughout the manor as well as on the grounds at all of these ceremony sites and on the rear deck, music is also part of Springwood's packages.
Ceremony music can be selected from CDs or from the Clavinova piano disks which can be played in piano, harp, orchestra strings or a variety of other instruments.
Because of our unique setting, Springwood handles the music for ceremonies, the cocktail hour and frequently dinner; the client selects a DJ or band to handle announcements and dancing.
The DJ or person selected to announce the couple and/or wedding party may use Springwood's wireless microphone in order to be heard at all locations, both indoors and outdoors.
As part of the wedding ceremony package, Springwood also provides a room for the bride to slip into her wedding gown and enjoy the final moments before the ceremony begins with mothers and bridesmaids. [Hair and makeup must be done elsewhere.] Although the groom and groomsmen arrive already dressed, they too have a designated room in which they can relax before the ceremony and get help pinning on their boutonnieres. No alcohol is permitted in these rooms prior to or during the event.
